01Process
We begin with samples made for the room. Once color and movement are approved, we prepare the substrate and build the finish by hand in controlled layers.
02 / The material
Venetian plaster is built in thin hand applied layers. The substrate, trowel movement, compression, and final sheen all remain visible in the completed surface.
03 / Surface and setting
Fireplaces, ceilings, feature walls, and wrapped corners each call for a different degree of variation. We sample in the room, read the light, and agree the surface before installation begins.
04 / Selected surfaces
A sequence of finished rooms, edges, and planes. Each image shows the material in a different relationship to light.
05 / Finish palette
The final system responds to substrate, room exposure, desired movement, and available light. Every plaster, velvet effect, and metallic finish is approved through a physical sample.
Matte / Satin
A lime and marble plaster with soft stone character. Hand finishing creates tonal movement that can remain quiet or be refined through compression.
Fireplace surrounds and broad wall planes. It also works well on ceilings and in rooms that call for natural mineral depth.Matte / Soft polish
A smooth mineral plaster with compact marbling and hydrophobic properties. Moisture prone applications require a complete approved assembly.
Bathroom feature walls and powder rooms. It can also suit spa spaces or selected exterior mineral surfaces when the full system is appropriate.Polished / High sheen
A fine lime based Venetian plaster applied in thin layers. Burnishing produces marble depth with natural mottling and strong reflection.

The wall must support a continuous hand applied finish. Repairs and plane correction are completed before the mineral base is installed.
North light, warm artificial light, and grazing light can change the reading of a finish. Samples are reviewed in the room.
Plaster is sequenced after disruptive wall work and before vulnerable finish items. Protection remains in place through cure and review.

Yes. We serve Chicago, the North Shore, and surrounding Chicago suburbs. Our work includes residential, hospitality, and trade projects. Planning accounts for access, samples, scheduling, and protection.
Marmorino Hydro can be considered for moisture prone rooms only as part of a complete approved assembly. The substrate, waterproofing, joints, protection, exposure, and maintenance requirements must be specified. Plaster alone is not a waterproofing membrane.
Minor damage can often be blended by an experienced applicator, though the repair strategy depends on color, sheen, movement, and age.
We develop a focused sample set based on the design direction, then refine the selected finish before scheduling full application.
