Movement
Existing joints and changes in substrate are identified before work. The finish cannot correct structural movement beneath it.

Service / Eagles Painting & Decorative
Microcement unifies floors, walls, vanities, and architectural volumes with a restrained continuous finish. The quality depends on a disciplined system and careful substrate preparation.

The work
Material approach
Complete approved microcement systems with the primers, reinforcement, finish coats, and sealers required for the application.

01Process
We assess movement and moisture before building the specified system. Reinforcement, finish coats, sealing, and curing are managed as one continuous assembly.
02Selected microcement
Three finished applications show the system at different scales. The work moves from a sculptural curved wall to a complete stair run and a residential feature wall.

03Surface studies
Close views reveal the mottling and soft sheen. They also show the junction quality that distinguishes an installed finish from an isolated sample.

04Wet room process
These photographs show active installations. Waterproofing and substrate stability come first. Reinforcement, finish layers, sealing, and cure must follow one approved system.

05Documented project sequence
A confirmed before and after project record supplied by the client. The after photograph shows a tiled bathroom and remaining service openings, so it is not presented as a microcement finish example.

LocalChicago field notes
Microcement is specified as a complete system. Chicago projects may involve older framing, new construction, or remodeled wet areas. Each condition requires a substrate review.
Existing joints and changes in substrate are identified before work. The finish cannot correct structural movement beneath it.
Waterproofing is a separate approved layer. Microcement begins only after the wet area assembly is ready for the specified finish system.
Access is controlled while each layer cures. Other trades are coordinated so the sealed surface is not exposed too early.
06Common questions
It can when the complete system is approved for wet areas and installed over a properly waterproofed, stable substrate.
Careful detailing reduces risk, but the underlying structure must be assessed. Existing movement joints must be honored.
Use neutral cleaners and avoid harsh abrasives. We provide product specific care guidance after the final sealer cures.
